SURFING AT DAJUMA

Among our beach activities which cover swimming, fishing, snorkeling, diving, kayaking, sailing, SUP, bodyboarding, there is one which is particularly appreciated by our guests: surfing. Why? For 3 main reasons: the West beach of Dajuma is just ideal to learn. The waves are not too strong and the sandy beach is never a problem when you fall down, which is frequent when you start this demanding sport. The second reason is the proximity of a world class surfing spot called Medewi, situated a few minutes from Dajuma. Last but not least reason, is the presence of our surf instructor Jupri who will take care of you throughout the learning process.
No reason why you should not try during your next stay with us!

MENJANGAN DIVING

Not far from Dajuma is the famous Menjangan diving spot, one of the richest in terms of underwater flora and fauna. After one and a half hour drive on the scenic road around the West Bali National Park and 20 mn by boat you reach the island of Menjanagan (the « island of deers » in Bahasa Indonesia) which is surrounded by a coral reef where thousands of fishes and seashells live. Many of our guests did their first dive here, under the attentive supervision of Joss, our diving partner. For those who prefer snorkeling, the pleasure is also guaranteed.
On the picture, our young guest Calypso, who is only 6 years old, enjoys snorkeling in a beautiful mermaid costume. A mythic character nevertheless quite real!

Meet Nemo

One of Dajuma’s most popular trips is going snorkeling or Diving at Menjangan Island. We had the pleasure to welcome the nice Blanc family. When we spoke to them about seeing Nemo in his natural habitat, the entire family was enthusiast about the idea. For Kim 6 and Kylie 8 years old, it was important to take time to learn about snorkeling. Therefore the days before, we spent with them 2 hours in our pool with mask and tuba. When we arrived at Menjanagan, the lesson was well understood. The family was accompanied by two guides Putu and Budy who took special care for the girls so parents could enjoy freely the beautiful ocean. We did two snorkelings with a lunch break in between. We took pictures. Back to Dajuma, the parents were delighted about the tour and the progress and confidence of their girls swimming. Another happy moment to share at Dajuma! Nemo I can’t wait to see you again!
