Being quarantined for couple of months might be bring something boredom to yourselves, especially for those who are used to do their activities outside home. Now, there is a question about what will we do after the pandemic passed over? One of the best thing is traveling, either domestic or overseas and West Bali must be on your list. Why? Because West Bali with its secret vibration will recharge your energy and soul. This is what Bali used to be, totally authentic beautiful nature and culture. And in the heart of it, Dajuma is the place where to stay! We look forward to welcoming you soon!
Thanks to the commitment and dedication of our staff, Dajuma keeps open from 7:00 to 23:00 during this so special Covid 19 period. We found the solution to offer to our very rare guests a full service by splitting our 48 employees in 4 groups of 12 people, each group ensuring the job for 1 week. By doing so, not only we keep open all departments (front desk, restaurant, kitchen, housekeeping, maintenance, garden, laundry, and Spa) but our staff can still work and maintain a good spirit among them – while, of course, respecting the necessary social distancing and wearing a mask. We also installed hydroalcoholic dispensers around the resort at the disposal of our staff and our guests and we regularly check the body temperature with appropriate equipment. All health and safety conditions are thus fulfilled in a setting which remains as idyllic as before the crisis. On the picture, Agus and Astari would love to welcome you!
Failing to be able to speak about the news of Dajuma – the hotel being empty – let us give the floor to our dear customers who make us the friendship to visit us regularly, for some of them several times a year. This testimony was sent to us from Australia by email on April 10th:
“My husband & I spent our 50th wedding anniversary in this beautiful place last January. Every person that works there was gentle, caring and exuded peace fullness. The resort was gorgeous, the food wonderful, but it was all the staff that made us smile. The manager went out of his way to make sure we were happy. On our last day we stepped out of our room to the most precious gift of plumeria blossoms in the shape of a heart were on our patio. Word for how we felt for the entire staff.”
One million thanks dear Robin & Robert for your kind words which have enchanted our staff! Please come again soon!
Dajuma like all other hotels in Bali is facing a major crisis due to the coronavirus pandemic. Our reservations have been dropping drastically as well as our revenue.
In this unusual context, we would like to reach 2 objectives:
1- Convince our guests not to panic by cancelling all their reservations, including those far in time. We already changed our cancellation policy last week by allowing cancellations until the day before the stay and to change the dates of the stay at no extra cost. In spite of these advantageous conditions and without any risk for the customer, reservations even distant in time continue to be canceled and create a certain stress with our staff. The best decision you can make if you are desirous to help us is definitively to maintain your reservations as much as possible or change them, but not to cancel them.
2- Keep our staff, their families and our guests in good health: because the impact of the pandemic is still almost inexistant in Bali, most of Balinese people don’t observe enough prevention. So we explained to our staff to be very careful with this virus by applying some simple rules between the staff and also with our guests: keep 1 meter distance with people, always cough in the elbow, do not shake hands, wash regularly hands after touching any object not part of the usual environment, especially metallic ones, limit as much as possible the trips and to meet as few people as possible including the family if not in the same village. By applying these simple rules, hopefully we will drastically reduce the risk of contagion in our preserved West Bali and keep our staff and our guests in good health.
We look forward to welcoming you again soon! Please help us by not cancelling your reservations.
Difficult, this week, to speak of anything other than the pandemic whose effects are felt throughout the tourism industry. Despite the few reported cases, Bali is not spared because the decisions taken by foreign governments to limit the movements of their nationals have a negative impact on the attendance of the island. Dajuma like the other hotels is not immune to the decline in activity.
So, in this new context, the only thing to do is to remain optimistic, hoping that things will return to normal quickly. In the meantime, all arrangements are made at the hotel to ensure optimum sanitary conditions for our guests.
Also important, to allow them to book without fear in the coming weeks, we have revised our cancellation policy by allowing cancellations without charge, until the day before the stay. Similarly, postponements of stays are possible at no cost.
Take good care of yourself and see you soon back in Dajuma!
Did you ever dream of a bathroom totally open to nature where you can enjoy flowers, banana and coconut trees during the day and millions stars after the sunset when you are taking your shower? This is one feature of our resort to offer this pleasure to our guests. Pleasure which is particularly appreciated. Depending on your accommodation choice, cottages or villas, you will find the same equipment but with different decorations: 2 basins, 1 suspended smart toilet, 1 open air shower, 1 bathtub and 1 or 2 wardrobes. On the picture a glance of what you will find on your next visit! The picture was taken from our 1 bedroom villa Bendega Surya C.
A particularity of Dajuma is its cape which extends full west over 300 meters at sea. It is an amazing place to walk in direct contact with nature. Of volcanic origin, it reveals at low tide an incredibly rich underwater life which fascinates adults as well as children. And at the end of it, you will be totally surprised with the discovery, on foot dry, of beautiful corals, in full health. To discover absolutely next time you visit us again!
Buy 1 and Get 1 Free! This famous slogan is also applied in Dajuma to the delight of our guests every day between 5 and 6 p.m. just before the sunset with almost 20 different choices including cocktails, mocktails and beers. Every day, our bar tenders love to surprise our guests by proposing a “cocktail of the day” always creative and delicious. But the most important is the place where to savour these cocktails. Whatever the location chosen, pool, garden or restaurant, long chairs, gazebos or hammocks, you will enjoy breathtaking sunsets. On the picture, the creations of last week. Welcome!
2 weeks ago, a very unusual event happened in Medewi village, close to Dajuma. Our friend and colleague Rondy, GM in charge of Sales and Marketing in our team, is the happy new father of a young boy called Ketut. The birth of a boy after 3 girls was so expected by the family that Rondy’s father accomplished his wish by inviting in the village the famous wayang kulit group Ceng Blong lead by the no less famous puppeteer I Wayan Nardayana. He is renowned in all Bali for his unique Wayang Kulit show, mixing pieces borrowed from the Ramayana and topical subjects, all in a very dynamic and sometimes very funny dialogues. On this occasion, the main road of the village was cut, the traffic being reoriented by the police. Hundreds of villagers were happy to share the joy of Rondy’s family by assisting to the show. The picture shows these typical wayang kulit silhouettes so inspiring for us, westerners. Congratulations to Rondy and his family for this beautiful moment of sharing!
Facing the growing success of our Teppannyaki restaurant, our cook team composed of 8 cooks in total decided to expand this particular skill to 2 other colleagues. This is what happened yesterday when our Second Chef Rudi, specialist of Japanese teppanyaki cuisine, (red apron on the picture) transmitted his know-how to Dewi and our First Chef Dedi. Everything is now ready to welcome you anytime in the week in our Sinta lounge for a delicious dinner in the Japanese way!
