Christmas at Dajuma was celebrated as usual in a joyful and festive atmosphere. The evening began with a delicious Christmas dinner prepared by our talented chefs, Dedi and Rudi, who delighted guests with a thoughtfully crafted menu. The celebration continued late into the night, filled with laughter, warm company, and live music, creating a truly memorable holiday experience. Pictured around our Christmas tree—made of driftwood collected from the beach—are our staff members Edi and Padmi, accompanied by our trainees.

At Dajuma, we love to see our guests turning their precious moments into unforgettable memories. Last week, a family from Germany chose our Beach Garden as the setting to celebrate a wedding anniversary, and it was nothing short of magical. As the sun slowly dipped into the horizon, our gardeners had transformed the garden into a charming, flower-filled venue, perfectly blending with the surrounding nature. Eric, acting as butler for the evening, ensured every detail was just right. From the first toast to the last smile, he accompanied the family with attentive and heartfelt service. It was a simple yet deeply moving celebration, a reminder of how special togetherness can be when shared in such a serene place. At Dajuma, we feel honored to host these unique milestones. Each celebration is a story in itself, and we are grateful to be part of them.

INDEPENDENCE DAY

Yesterday, on August 17th, Indonesia proudly celebrated its Independence Day — a moment that carries special meaning at Dajuma. It was on the beach facing Dajuma, in March 1946, that Colonel I Gusti Ngurah Rai landed to prepare his historic struggle for freedom after the Indonesian declaration of independence. The national monument shown on the picture honors this decisive event. This year, our guests were warmly welcomed to join the local community in flag-raising ceremonies, traditional games, and vibrant cultural performances by the ocean. Celebrating Independence Day at Dajuma is not just a holiday — it is a unique opportunity to connect with Bali’s living history in an unforgettable way.

DAJUMA TERRACE CELEBRATES ITS FIRST ANNIVERSARY!

Time flies! It’s already been one year since Dajuma Terrace opened its doors, and what a journey it has been. Last week, our team came together to joyfully celebrate this very special milestone — made even more meaningful as it coincided with the annual temple festival.

In true Balinese tradition, the celebration was marked by a festive “babi guling” feast, lovingly prepared by our Chef Suta and his kitchen team and shared among our 28 dedicated staff members and several enthusiastic trainees from the hotel school.

This first year has been both challenging and rewarding, marked by a strong take-off and growing recognition. We are especially proud to have already achieved top rankings on all major review platforms — a testament to the heartfelt efforts of our team and the invaluable support of our guests and partners.

From all of us at Dajuma Terrace, thank you for being part of this adventure. Here’s to many more years of hospitality, community, and unforgettable moments together!

Last week, Dajuma had the joy and privilege of celebrating the wedding of the lovely couple, Amelie and Ludovic, who entrusted us with hosting their special day. With heartfelt dedication and creative flair, our team transformed the seaside garden into a magical setting—an elegant blend of nature and romance, perfectly framing this unforgettable moment. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, the couple exchanged vows in an atmosphere filled with love, laughter, and emotion. The soft sound of the waves, the golden light of sunset, and the warm smiles of their guests created a truly enchanting ambiance—one that will be remembered by all who attended. We are deeply grateful to have played a part in such a meaningful celebration, and we wish Amelie and Ludovic a lifetime of happiness and love.

DAJUMA CELEBRATES GALUNGAN & KUNINGAN

Every 210 days, Bali celebrates Galungan and Kuningan, a sacred 10-day festival (April 23–May 3) honoring the victory of Dharma (good) over Adharma (evil). The festivities begin with purification rituals (Sugihan Jawa and Sugihan Bali), followed by family preparations like fruit ripening (Penyekeban) and cake making (Penyajahan). On Penampahan Galungan, offerings and feasts are prepared. Galungan day is the highlight, with ancestral spirits visiting homes adorned with beautiful  penjor bamboo poles. After a day of family gatherings (Manis Galungan), the festival concludes with Kuningan, marked by yellow rice offerings and the farewell of the spirits. A beautiful time of sharing between our staff and guests!

Their grace, colors, and rhythm brought magic to the night, enchanting our guests who responded with heartfelt enthusiasm and admiration.
