Recently opened in 2013, the Hotel School of Pekutatan welcomes every year a lot of students who are eager to embrace one of the numerous and exciting jobs of the tourism industry.
Part of the 3 year learning process is a 2 months internship every year, as assistant in a hotel. Dajuma is glad to welcome every year these motivated students. Here on the picture, Suci, Sri and Purnami, 3 of them acting in the kitchen with their adorable black tie. We wish you all the best for the future!

It was time to change the decoration of our bar in Rama restaurant !
After 12 years of loyal service, the red bricks have been replaced by nice ceramics looking like corals, the seats made from teak wood and leather are more comfortable than before. The opinions of our guests are unanimous to say that it looks great !
One more good reason to savour our delicious cocktails in a warm and friendly atmosphere!

Who ever tasted our delicious home-made marmelade, will keep it for a long time as a reminiscence of his stay at Dajuma, a little bit like the Proust’s Madeleine! Regularly made from the papaya, mango, pineapple, strawberry and other seasonal fruit, the marmelade accompanies fresh bread and pastries, also home-made, making your breakfast a pleasant moment to start your day!
It’s also good for our environment by reducing the packaging waste, favoring the local production and by consequence, limiting our carbon footprint.

« Babi Guling » or « Suckling Pig » is a monument of the Balinese cuisine. Everywhere in Bali one can find these small « Babi Guling Warung », small sympathetic restaurants specialised in this delicious dish.
Imagine in your plate some freshly grilled pig meat with its crispy skin accompanied with a tasty soup, crackers and a bunch of vegetables all cooked in the same spicy sauce. A delice for the palate !
Recently, a family from Australia, staying at Dajuma for a few days, ordered a Babi Guling prepared by our staff. The pig was cooked in Rudi’s house, one of our kitchen supervisor and then brought to Dajuma garden for degustation. Everybody in the family enjoyed this special meal : they said « Sangat Enak ! » which means « Absolutely Delicious ! »

Our Sinta lounge with its large comfortable sofas and its Teppanyaki at night is the perfect place where to relax and meditate, especially when the sun is coming down. The access to this very special place has been recently improved by a beautiful helicoidal stairway, entirely built from merbau and clove tree woods by our skilled workers. Here on the picture, Muriyono assisted by Harorik, both from Banyuwangi, who build it. You can be proud of it guys! It is not only nice to see but also very easy and comfortable to climb.

Among the numerous facets of Balinese culture, the food diversity and quality occupies a particular importance. Who never tried the famous Babi Guling (Grilled Pork) or the Ayam Betutu (Chicken stuffed with herbs and spices) probably missed something!
At Dajuma, our 7 cooks brigade is always happy to welcome guests willing to discover the secrets and spiced flavors of the Bali’s cuisine. Classes offer a fascinating introduction into the exotic ingredients and unique culinary heritage of Bali. They provide a valuable insight into the various techniques of food preparation and the cooking style used in our island homes.

Puri Dajuma built its reputation over the years, in particular on the quality and inventivity of its cuisine. Two years ago a second restaurant was successfully launched in the resort (Sinta Lounge) with a Japanese Teppanyaki particularly appreciated by our guests. 2014 starts strong ! Under the supervision of our First Chef Surianta, our 6 cooks brigade has decided to introduce in our main menu 25 new dishes, carefully selected and tested. Their inspiration came from local specialties as well as from best-sellers from India and Thaïland. An explosive cocktail which will delight your palate. Dajuma paradise is the perfect place to learn about boutique hotel management. We were pleased to have with us Nouria, a young lady who is studying in one of the prestigious hotel school in Switzerland. Nouria is half way with her three years program and brought with her an interesting knowledge about hotel activities and exchange with all Dajuma staff during her one-month stay. She bring back with her the Balinese touch which and could apply some of it with her next employer. We wish Nouria all the best and a great challenge for the future.

Our Rama restaurant has been delighting our guests’ senses for the last 10 years. Gastronomers appreciate our talented chef who prepares any tasty specialty ranging from typical Balinese food to Western favorites. As cooking is definitely part of the Balinese culture, our Chef invites anyone willing to share his talents with him through free of charge cooking lessons. The cooking trainees are only requested to select from the menu the dish they would like to prepare. Then, the Chef looks after the supplies and supervises the ‘trainees’ who later enjoy their ‘home’ made meal from the restaurant terrace standing in the tropical garden along the beach with breathtaking views to the ocean’s tides running back and forth on Dajuma’s cape.

Dajuma cape on Medewi beach is famous for its amazing view. This unique place is perfect to relax and enjoy the refreshing sea breeze after a round trip.
