JOYFUL CULTURAL EXCHANGE AT DAJUMA TERRACE
Last week, our guests at Dajuma Terrace had the unique opportunity to attend the 45th anniversary celebration of the Hindu youth organization Sekaa Teruna Teruni Dwi Eka Setia Karsa in the nearby village of Pupuan Sawah. Around 15 guests joined this special event and were delighted by traditional Balinese dance performances. Some even took part in the lively joged dance, creating memorable moments of connection and joy with the local community. The event was organized by Sekaa Teruna Teruni (STT), a traditional Balinese youth organization made up of unmarried young men (teruna) and women (teruni)—typically aged 16 to their mid-20s—within each banjar (village neighborhood). These youth groups play a vital role in preserving Balinese culture through religious ceremonies, social initiatives, and creative performances. They are true custodians of Bali’s living heritage, fostering tradition, creativity, and community spirit for future generations. It was a beautiful moment of cultural sharing between our guests and the vibrant youth of Bali!
